About the Oboz Trail Experience
Oboz Footwear and Tahoe Mountain Sports are inviting you to complete as many of Tahoe/Truckee's selected trail segments as you can in one month. This Experience is designed for you to re-discover your favorite trails, learn about new or lesser-known trails, push your limits, and recreate locally! You’ll also have the chance to compete against local legends, your peers, or yourself if that’s more your style.
The Oboz Tahoe Trail Experience is open to walkers, hikers, runners, and ADA mobility devices. How many of the 112 miles of the beautiful trail system can you complete in one month? It’s free to register and sign-up is easy.
Registration opens June 1st, with the Experience running from July 1st to July 31st. All participants will receive various swag from Oboz Footwear and Tahoe Mountain Sports. Unlock other rewards by completing Promoted Trails (you will receive a text and/or email when you complete one), and everyone who completes even just one trail will be entered to win one of five pairs of Oboz shoes at the end of the Experience! The more trails you complete, the more entries you'll receive!
- June 1 - Registration opens
- July 1 - Oboz Trail Experience begins (12:01a.m.)
- July 31 - Last day of the Oboz Trail Experience (11:59p.m.)
For promoted trails this year, we have some big-ticket items that have been graciously donated by local businesses and community members. When you complete one of the promoted trails for these amazing prizes, you will get a virtual raffle ticket specifically for that trail & prize. All raffles will be held at the Oboz after-party in early August. One of these prizes is a mid-week stay at the Cedar House Sport Hotel in Truckee, CA. Another is a scenic flight over Lake Tahoe (or your trail of choice), a $450 value courtesy of Hardy & Kimberly Bullock! There are a few other trails that award you a virtual raffle ticket for the chance to win more awesome prizes like a $100 gift certificate to New Moon Natural Foods and gift certificates to Stella Restaurant in Truckee. And don’t forget, Tahoe Mountain Sports will be donating to the Truckee Trails Foundation and Truckee Donner Land Trust as part of promoted trails as well. Check your dashboard to find out which trails enter you into these individual raffles and give back to the community, then go get your hike on!

Engage With Your Trail Community
New for 2022 - Teams! Create or join a public team (anyone can join) or a private team (by invite only) and easily invite others to be on your team with you. Just click on the Twitter or Facebook share links, or copy the invite link and send it however you prefer. The trails are always more fun when we share them together! Team members are still able to receive Promoted Trail rewards and any individual awards.
Be sure to check in throughout the month to see your progress, view the Current Event Standings, Activity Feed, and Participant Chat. And don’t forget to upload photos from your trail time on Instagram using #ObozTrailX. We love to see pictures from your trail experiences!
And, please remember to always respect our local Tahoe trails. Refer to the Leave No Trace Principles, take only pictures, leave only footprints, and pick up any litter you find along the way.
